In 2004, after genial negotiation, Lawke Health International Limited and the most prestigious medical institution in China --- Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College (CAMS & PUMC) --- successfully reached an agreement for collaboration.
On February 6, 2005 Dr. James J. Ho, CEO of Lawke Health International Limited, officially signed the collaboration agreement with CAMS & PUMC to establish Peking Union-Lawke Biomedical Development Limited (PUL) at the Peking Union Biomedical Incubation Center located in Zhongguancun Life Science Park. Officials of the Ministry of Science and Technology and of the Ministry of Health, Deputy Mayor Fan Boyuan, President of CAMS & PUMC Liu Depei, Party Committee Secretary Liu Qian, and other officials from CAMS & PUMC were present and witnessed the ceremony. |

| ◇ Dr. James J. Ho, CEO of Lawke Health International Limited, Was Invited to Attend the National Seminar of Clinical Laboratory Management Held in Xiamen in June 2005 and Delivered an Insightful Speech. |
| On June 14-17, 2005, the Third National Seminar of Clinical Laboratory Management that was sponsored by Chinese Association of Clinical Laboratory Management was held in Xiamen International Exhibition Center. Above 1,000 practitioners in the clinical laboratory field attended the seminar, among whom were Wang Yu, Head of the Department of the Ministry of Health, Mr. Mitchell G. Scott, professor in the Medical School of Washington University and the Chairman of AACC, well-known clinical laboratory experts in China, managerial staff from nationwide clinical laboratories, etc. It was an extraordinary gathering in the clinical laboratory field. The seminar facilitated the exchange of viewpoints on such topics as laboratory quality control, laboratory information system, independent clinical laboratory development, cost control, laboratory accreditation, etc. |

| ◇The Opening of 2005 Beijing Laboratory Medicine Forum and Clinical Laboratory Quality and Safety Management Seminar |
| On August 19-24, the 2005 Beijing Laboratory Medicine Forum and Clinical Laboratory Quality and Safety Management Seminar was held at the First City International Conference Center in Xianghe of Hebei province. This activity was organized by Beijing Chaoyang Hospital and Beijing Clinical Laboratory Center. About 500 practitioners in the laboratory medicine field as well as industry representatives attended the opening ceremony, most of whom were the directors of clinical laboratory departments of the secondary and tertiary hospitals in Beijing. Dr. James J. Ho, the Director of Center for Clinical Laboratory Development, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College, gave a special lecture on What Should Laboratory Management Learn from CAP. |
